BRENT BARNES - SHORT EARED OWL IN HEADLIGHTS
"While photographing raptors at the Loess Wildlife Refuge in Missouri, a Short-Eared Owl began hunting as the sun was setting. It moved back and forth across a dirt road. I noted a truck coming down the road at low speed and was able to photograph the owl with the headlights of the truck in the background. I will note I did not know the driver of the truck, but he was aware of me and was aware of the owl and was driving at a low speed the owl was never in danger from the truck while I was photographing it".
